If your comfortable starting out bare back on a quiet horse. You will learn to feel the horse underneath of you much faster.
Building on balance, use of your seat legs and hands, gaining confidence. Helping you learn to relax, most importantly enjoy your experience.
This way your horse isn't just packing you around. Your communicating clearer cue's to your horse.

A Session of riding lessons maybe a great way to start if you have never been on a horse before. Or even if you plan to get a little more serious with your riding skills.
Even if you ride once in awhile its always a good idea to refresh your understanding of safety for you and the horse your about to ride. Remember! You need to take the time to connect with the horse.
